equipping Classes

Equipping classes are a wonderful way for you, as a Christian, to learn to follow Christ. These classes will help you to walk with Christ in all of your life. Each of our class offerings will have a similar weekly structure. You'll hear teaching, have time to pray together and have time for discussion. We hope you will join these classes to deepen your faith in Christ and obedience to Him in all of life

Every 13 weeks we will cycle through different equipping classes. Some may repeat for a second 13 week cycle, giving more people the opportunity to take each class.

In an ever-changing world, where we hear the claim “nothing like this has ever happened before,” it is helpful to remember our roots. Ecclesiastes tells us there is nothing new under the sun, and this study of Church History will help you see that current trends are not new. Current heresies are old ones repackaged. And undergirding the faithful is not wise men and women through the ages, but a gracious God who promises to build His church in every generation.

    CLASS OBJECTIVES

    This class will help you:

    1. See God’s faithfulness to build His church, as Christ promises, regardless of what opposition arises.

    2. Identify and address current false teaching by seeing it’s roots, and the answers the Church has offered previously.

    3. Learn about the giants from church history whose shoulders we stand upon today.

    4. Return to your roots and see the historic consistency of church practices today.

    THE GOAL IN A SENTENCE

This class will give you a firm foundation for why the church holds to many of its core doctrines today, and grant you tools to refute errors whose roots go back to the early church.

  • Room 220 @ 11 AM

How do we talk to people about God? What are the essentials we need to bring up as we evangelize? What are some answers to common questions posed against Christianity? The Evangelism Equipping Class will prepare you for conversations with non-believers or people who practice other religions, enabling you to share Christ effectively.

    CLASS OBJECTIVES

    This class will help you:

    1. Understand God’s heart for evangelism mediated through His church and her members.

    2. Answer common objections, and provide clarity on what Christ accomplishes for us.

    3. Engage people from other faiths with the only true message of Salvation.

    THE GOAL IN A SENTENCE

This class will prepare you to share the Gospel with confidence in God’s ability to save sinners, however far they are from Him.
